Recommend me a replacement rear view camera.

I just watched the video on that website and it does look impressive. But when he was driving forward, the images on the monitor were reversed so it looked like everyone was driving on the right hand side of the road. Does that happen with yours?

No, the view you get is perfectly normal as you would see if you looked in your mirror of the vehicle you were driving. The only disappointing thing I find is if you are driving on unlit roads at night, especially motorways that are poorly lit, then the camera is not so good. You have to depend on your wing mirrors then. On roads with street lighting the camera works fine. As I don’t drive the m/h at night that often, this is not a major problem for me !
I am more than happy with the setup.

Look on the Parking Cameras website of Ramsgate; he has a big selection. You may be able to get a replacement there. He also has 4pin/ multi pin adaptors.
I’ve just replaced the reversing camera of a Swift pair - works perfectly.

One of my twin cameras has conked out, the bumper view one. As I am away I shall have to rely on swmbos hand signals.

The Roadpro video shows it’s fairly good in low light. Is the reality a bit different then? I’m considering a Camos Jewel for my new van.

The man on the stall gave me advice to fix the night vision issue which I will do when I get home as it means dismantling the camera. Basically separate camera body and unplug the feed connector for the infra red sensors. The problem is that the sensors flick on/off with change in light conditions from headlights etc. we are both pleased with the setup. On the Mirror monitor you can flip the view using the mode button and the up/down buttons

As I drive the m/h very little during darkness, and my mechanical skills are absolutely zero, I will not be attempting to dismantle the camera. Good to know though, thanks for the information. 👍
