Reciprocating wood saw blades (31 Viewers)

Not sure if this is in the right place?

I have a load of fence posts i'd like to cut down roughly for firewood, can anyone recommend a good coarse wood blade for the job please, its for a ryobi recip saw.
Theres alot of cheap crap out there but i want a blade that will last more than a couple of cuts.

Cheep hand held circular saw with tungsten blade, cut a lot quicker than reciprocating.

Not the best tool a chain saw would be a lot quicker and easier but pay a bit more and buy Bosch blades Toolstation or s.fix

i get mine from screwfix (Bosch), depending on the type of wood - usually in a pack of five, but i tend to lose the bloody rest of the pack ..... so i bought a better quality single blade but its more expensive than buying a pack ....

they are also for green wood, not construction timber - which your fence posts will be, though not sure it will make any difference, PLUS you have to hope that your local Aldi have them in though i think you can get them from Amazon ?

Won't fence posts be full of dodgy chemicals. Not really suitable for firewood?

When we lived in a little hamlet right on the sea shore, there was an old guy in one of the cottages who would collect driftwood for his fire. With the longer pieces he would stick one end in the fire and rest the other end on a stool and just keep moving it closer as it was consumed !
