Hi Everyone.
Just gauging opinion on rechargeable hoovers for the MoHo , what do you use /recommend in your van? Getting close to being given
the stiff brush and dustpan and told to do it myself !! :giggle::giggle:

All of the battery vacs have a relatively short run time so I bought a ThisWorx 12v from Amazon (£29.99). So impressed I bought another for my car after a few weeks, excellent product.

We had a French supermarket cordless vac which was useless. Changed to a Shark stick from Lakeland which is brilliant

You can fix that cutting out thing. I just fixed mine. The cleaning instructions don't go far enough. Following a YouTube video I opened up my filter (a tubular shaped one) and found stuff inside. After clearing that out it works perfectly. It's not designed to be opened but if you're careful with a knife you can do it.
I have another which was temperamental. I treated it to a replacement battery and that one works perfectly now too.
Both I would say are signs of poor design saying it's supposedly a premium product.

New to Motorhomes but had plenty of boats. we have an Australian cattle dog that sheds all the time and a collie.
The gf has a shark( cordless vac )
but it's not up to the job. I bought a makita 18v and the cyclone attachment new off ebay for 50 quid. already had battery and charger for other tools and so far it has been brilliant. but you definitely need the cyclone attachment as the dustbag is too small.

G tech rechargeable. Good battery life and removable brush and no bag.
Another vote for the GTec. Like that you can remove the entire handle so makes it easypeasy to store.

Also got a hoover jarvis with the 12v spinning head. 10 years old and still going strong

Took the G tech from home and swapped it with the cylinder one at our static, both work better in their new surroundings, also hand held G tech at the caravan, arrived yesterday and put the upright on charge decided to take out the filters and wash them, couldn’t believe how much I washed out of them, took out rollers and cleaned them, was like new when I finished.

Milwaukee M18 hand vacuum. Great bit of kit, and plenty of suction.
And if you already have the batteries, less than £100 for the bare unit. (y)

Dyson Animal for me it has a forty minute run time which means I just charge up at home before we go away. I use it every day at home too, still going strong after 5 years (y)

That us the only downside of Gtech. Need to empty very frequently and wash the filters. We've had upright and hand held for a couple of years now and still work perfectly. Though our dogs don't technically shed there is fluff and long hairs to pick up bit like tumbleweed:giggle:

My two definitely shed, at home the downstairs is all wooden floors and it’s like tumbleweed floating around.

I find the Lidl hand-held version very reliable....and it's hard to beat the 3 year warranty they give.
