Hi all,
I have a piece missing from the above lense, all lights are working so I've covered this redundant part (as there's no light in it) with duck tape.the question is - will it fail the MOT as is.?

Regards Steph.

You would be better off using red lens tape, which if it cuts out any white light leak should pass an MOT.

I tried coastal for a new one, they didn't have it, but I'll keep trying, although the tape will do for the time being.
Thanks :giggle:

That looks right, coastal did suggest it might be one that could fit caravans too. Brilliant!

The whole of the lens cover is a reflector, so I would be very surprised if the remaining lens was not sufficient to keep the MOT tester happy.
I disagree. If the whole lens is a reflector why bother molding in a space with no purpose and using materials unnecessarily.

The caravan version is different as it has triangle reflector rather than a rectangular reflector on the motorhome version

With the duck tape, yes, but the red reflector repair tape should be ok,
right ???
It's not reflective tape though.
The tester may have left his guide dog at home that day and not seeing it's just red tape
