Your wisdom, O wise and experienced Funsters - rear/reversing camera suddenly decided to stop working. 2013 Fiat Ducato/ Bessacarr E412.
I think I saw a faint line through the upper third of the screen yesterday, but today it stopped working whilst on the Dover-Calais ferry ( no, the cameras weren’t nicked!).
Any and all helpful suggestions gratefully received.

I assume its connected to the reverse lights, are they working?

And fuses have been checked.

If it's the same has my kon tiki the connectors that come adrift sometimes are in the garage passenger side under a wooden cover. See if you have disturb them when loading the garage? Also check the bayonet connectors behind the screen I've also had these come out after pulling the front blinds up and down.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Thanks whisky walker . i do have a weird connector in the garage that sticks up and I worry about it. Normally covered by a foam pad. Just checked and it’s fine. Just have a cable going into the mirror - no connectors there

O I have two connectors behind the mirror one from each camera (Normal and reversing camera) It might be worth opening the connectors and giving them a wee clean with contact cleaner to see if that helps, also on a couple of occasions I've pressed the different buttons on the monitor and knocked the display off and never realized it until I got the manual out and found out what button did what Lol.

Done a lot of pressing and counting!! No life.
Looking for fuses and next I might try to open the mirror unit to see if any internal connectors have got bored with their life…
Rarely a dull moment when having FUN… 😆

No worries, good luck and please let us know how you get on.
