Could it be the grey waste tank😮 when we bought our last van the previous owner had left an inch thick sludge in the tank and as soon as it warmed up phew it was stinky, I didn’t think it was gas but couldn’t think of anything else so turned off and vented everything and it was still there, dumped the tank and nearly cleared the site, ah that’s what it was😃
My thoughts too.

The inside of the cab area not the hab area stinks of sulphur.
Is that where the leisure battery is? Could be the starter battery then. Anyone around you that could help?

No, Mr Gina M will be home around 8.15 in the meantime I will get some steps and try to cover up the solar panels

At this time of evening the solar won’t be putting in much power. Leave it to when help arrives. Don’t put yourself in danger with ladders.

I think you said it was on EHU?
Just check if you had anything plugged into the 240 supply in the van.
Check the plug top, we once had one “burn” in the house, the smell was horrendous.

Yes, I decided not to go for ladders and have managed to throw a few cushions on top of the van so the panels are at least partially covered:giggle: Thank you for your help.

Yes, at the time it was on EHU but then I realised the solar panels would still be powering the batteries but I failed to tell everyone about the solar panels.

Speaking from experience- It Could be as fun flair has indicated. Grey water tanks expel sulphur gassing in warmish weather and as you enter the MH the water is shoogled about and creates smells / really really bad smells ! that comes up through the drains - basin’s / showers etc.
Answer - drain and fill with disinfectant ; dosing every now and again.
Hope it solves your issue.

If the batteries are OK.
The presume it's the gray water tank:

Mix a scoop of washing powder into a bucket of water and pour down the sink and repeat down the bathroom sink.
Leave to marinate for an hour.
Go for a little drive, round a few roundabouts a few times, and some sharp left and right turns, and down a road with humps.
The drain the gray water tank .
And then flush with at least 4 buckets of water down each sink.

One thing I have learned from today and the danger of a fried battery is listen when you are being shown stuff. I was shocked that I didn't know how to turn off the solar power which was still charging the battery on the van. Now I know (y)
