I'd agree with that but .............. the rods are pushed into copper sleeves at the top & then embedded in quite brittle sealant. On mine the rods were making intermittent contact with the sleeves due to corrosion - water had crept up the minute gap between the sealant and rod. I've cured it permanently by threading each rod before re-installing it. The sealant is now Sikaflex and the connection to each rod is via two SS nuts trapping an eyelet above the sealant. It's now back to its normally accurate self.depends on type of sensor..
the rod system as fitted to Hymers are reliable and accurate .. nothing to go wrong.. a just four s/s rods that work by conduction..
level indication.. zero 25% 50% 75% 100% .. same on waste tank.
the ones with a float and variable resistor are less reliable..
