Rain in France

We've had to move the chairs into the shade as it so sunny and warm in Northern Scotland!:party2:
Should have kept my big trap shut!:swear2:

It's raining and forecast for downpour later this morning!:crying:

where am I?
You're on the excellent site at Falaise with the castle where William the Conqueror was brought up in the background. A tour of the castle is interesting - you get issued with a screen and walk about seeing the castle it was using VR.

We drove through exceptionally heavy rain near Troyes yesterday morning but today sunshine is forecast.

We are at the municipal site in La Flèche, ACSI rate 14 euro including lovely swimming pool. Short walk to town. Lots of lightning overnight, rain this afternoon. Moving on further south tomorrow
I just had a look at this site...it looks lovely, just a shame it is closed in October.

Yes Falaise with It's very nice site with all you need within walking distance. The castle is very impressive towering over the campsite.

If you go inside there is a steel framework with see through floors and holograms telling the story of William.

We are just North of Brantome, clear blue skies and 29 degrees. Thunderstorms expected about 18.00 then sunny again all day tomorrow.

We’ve never been on that site although we have driven through Falaise dozens of times before the autoroute to Rennes was opened. I do think this is a brilliant idea though; provided the pictures are fair like this one, current and not dredged up from a photo library.

They've spent a lot of money refurbishing the site at Falaise, creating a new MH parking area plus a newly refitted or rebuilt toilet block. It's a 5 star site now.

I wrote up our visit starting in post #88 here:

Been mostly sunshine today and 27 C Hot and close now with clouds building but not supposed to rain, off on our travels tomorrow further South. The campsite at Falaise is rammed, Camping St Claire at Nuefchatel an bray was full the 2 nights we were there also.
