Shurflo and it wont stop running cant see any leakes any where is there any check to see if its airlocked or something thanks ,,

Hi don't have one just the manual yellow lever and that's closed ..

Is there a see through gauze strainer before the pump? Is there water getting to it? Is there water at the taps? Any air gurgling?

Thanks took the filter out cleaned it not much water in there...no water at taps
..no gurgling...

There doesn't seem to be water at the filter just removed it with it running ...? is there a way to test the pump to see if its pulling water from the tank is there a diaphragm in side it or something to check ,,?

How high is your water tank level compared to the pump?. If there's no water if you take the fliter off is there either a blockage or air trap in the feed pipe I'm pretty sure that the filter is between the pump and water tank so would expect some water to come out when you take the bowl off.

If there is no water going into filter housing it may well be split, and the pump is sucking in air. Air won’t pressurise the system, so pump will never turn off.

ok thanks i will get under and have a look ,, just looked nothing leaking pipe looks good ,,there seems to be water at the bowl now but its not pushing it through to the boiler ,,might get a new pump ,,be handy to have a spare,. even if its not the pump .dont know what else to try ,,

Hi
I had trouble with my pump continuously running,I found the the fault to be the outside shower attachment , it had excessive water build up in the little external shower cover ,
Water was touch the little pump switch, This was on burstner ixeo . It happened a couple of times now , but just released water and dry switch and pump stops running shorted. And works how it should.
Not sure if applicable to your van,
Ref external shower .

Ok was a long shot, but I hope you mange to get it sorted soon, as I know how frustrating it can be just not knowing the actual fault .
Any way good luck rob.

Cheers...I get a new pump £50 from halfords...

If you have a tank full of water but none to any tap, can I suggest that the pumps gears has sheered/stripped?

Not sure a pressure pump has gears unlike a submersible pump.
It has a wobble disc driven off the motor shaft which pushes each diaphragm in turn

hi thanks how can i test this ,,i have stripped it down cant see any debris or any thing in it ,,

I agree but was at a loss of how to describe it, on the bottom of the drive shaft there is the thing that goes round (or wobble disc as you describe it) I was ,very badly, suggesting that this connection between the shaft and the white 'wobble board) could be severed?

i think i agree when i striped it down the shaft looks as though it off center when i turns i though is that correct ,,but you saying wobble disk ,,might be correct ,,

Have you stripped it and examined the diaphragm as shown in the video and while you have it stripped, connect it up for a few seconds and see if all is operating correctly.
If all appears ok, rebuild then disconnected the outlet pipe of the pump, put the end of the pipe into a container of water to see if that helps without the pressure to the system?

Thanks was thinking about that need to set something up to try it ..

thanks for all the info ,,can anyone suggest where to get an exact replacement this is the number on mine 4029-181-A32 halfords do one similar but not the same number not sure if you can change or not ,,?

Back in my Autotrail days... The clear top that goes on the filter was common for splitting, very fine, allowing air in and the pump not to pressurise.
Also be aware, a lot of pipes run under the van and some can be prone to freezing and splitting. Even though they are meant to be lagged..

Ref the pump, can you not leave it in place, disconnect the input side, attach a hose and see if it draws water from a bucket.

I picked mine up from a supplier on EBay. Just happened to be in Bolton where I live, he had all the different models on the selves.

Just a thought, is the diaphragm in good shape with no splits or tears? You will have to manipulate it with your fingers to check it. I had Same issue with my pump, Autotrail Apache built in 2012. The pum was the original, I stripped it but couldn’t get any more adjustment on the Allen key adjuster so bit the bullet and bought a new one. You MUST make sure that the PSI rating on the new pump is the same as the old one, there are literally hundreds of variations on a theme!! Also….. please let us know if you fixed or replaced it so you can help other funsters in the future.

Cheers! HNY!
