Pump comes on intermittently ??

Hi all

Got a potential newbie question??

Is the water pump meant to switch on intermittently - about once every hour for a couple of seconds

We only really noticed it during our first overnight stop - when camped up ??

We are assuming its normal and just the system keeping the water pressure up ??

Haven't seen any leaks as yet but not really looked thoroughly so no horror stories please !!

Spot on len.
And a good place for a leak like this is the shurflo filter housing, the cap that screws on. Initialy repaired mine with a replacement cap then repaired leaking one with Captain Tolleys creeping crack cure. ( applied from both sides, inside and outside)

I put a smear of MS4 Silicone grease on the O ring in the filter housing.

My fault was originally diagnosed over phone by an engineer at Simpsons and sent under warranty whilst we we away.
I identified the crack under a microscope and when repaired works a treat. Now in drawer as a spare to ward off. problems .

We had a similar problem with ours one night a while back.
Turned out to be the jumper cables were resting on the drain valve for the water boiler.
Just enough to make it drip, therefore loosing pressure.
Got me really worried that we’d got a leak somewhere.

First check any drain-down taps/valves as a slow drip under the MH will go unnoticed and cause this symptom
