Rally Chat Proposed whisky meet, May 7th 2016

Oh yes this is my kind f meet. I will bring a couple of malts. But my wife will only drink @DuxDeluxe pims.

Ah ha! We have a guard dog now, you'll have to get past the peril of being slobbered on by a Bernese Mountain Dog. Some might argue that it is worth the risk! :D
OT is the Newbury show happening again next year does anyone know, we had a great time this year, would like to do it again.

You will need the slobberdog - Cruiser will drink the lot........... mind you, Thomas the Pomeranian would make a nice snack for him/her

Sounds great. If it is the Chairman's Reserve (from St Lucia) and the black rum, some kind of navy rum, I'm intrigued and need to know (taste) some to be sure..!
I always have Chairman's reserve in the van. And Appleton.....

HE will bring it out. But will not open it. And he will drink mine.
Ballcocks...........

.......who has the very old bottle of Old Pulteney still gathering dust? Guilty as charged, m'lud.....

I did let you start on it , a couple of weeks ago.

I'm really looking forward to Peterborough next year and seeing the massive range of bottles you two have for the education of the palettes of the rest of us (y)(y)

You may come along and look...@GJH . I will be there I have already booked. But we might have to come back to your van as well.

We are already booked too. I'm sure I can find room in the van for a couple of bottles of spring water (Lidl own brand obviously) to accompany the aged malt that @DuxDeluxe brings

Children and open fires could be dangerous. Suggest bring one of these: Broken Link Removed

I do not think our foster agency would approve of that. But I do. @DBK

I've had very few problems with kids and open fires; it tends to be the adults that try and fiddle with fires that cause the issues which can only be solved with another sip of whisky

Right. You're only getting tap water as a mixer then
No, Graham......YOU are only getting tap water! it will wash down your ferret and whippet piesties very nicely ;)

I'm a rum virgin - how should I take it?

I'm wondering if I can prepare for being rummed by having some cognac on arrival on the Friday night - are they compatible?

Just for that I shall bring Supreme Acklam Piesties, Supreme Acklam Steak & Gravy Pies and Supreme Acklam Pork Pies to Peterborough - and eat them all myself

Why not ?
If you're a wiskey drinker you'll probably never notice the difference between Cognac and Rum
Especially if you mix it with Red Bull and dip a deep fried Mars Bar in it
