Project 2000 electric in-out step repair (1 Viewer)

I wonder if there's something you have to disengage manually first to move the step in by hand as there's no way that gear wheel could rotate against that worm gear ?
I wonder if a complete step from a breaker or O'Learys would be your easiest option ?

My step doesn’t retract when I start Motorhome or push the button just inside the door. I have been told it needs a new motor, I need some help in finding a new motor so any help would be very much appreciated This is a photo of the faulty motor
