Problems of fridge on 12 v

Something else you could check is It looks like the EM40 that supplies the fridge main 12v power when the engine is running is connected to the cab battery with one of the large fuses at the + terminal of the cab battery and could be worth checking to see if they are ok. (I do not know what else theEM40 has fuses for but if they are working the battery fuse must be ok)

For everyone who has helped with this issue, many thanks.
I have tracked a dodgy fuse holder. The bit that grips the fuse blades was caked up with muck and needed crimping together again.
All cleaned and done and all working well.

Many many thanks.

Alan Cousins, just to help anyone reading this in the future, where was the fuse holder located? Is it the one next to the starter battery?

For clarity the fuse was in the little box called an EM40, on the floor behind the drivers seat. Hope that helps anyone else.
This forum really is the dogs when it comes to finding solutions and expert knowledge. Worth every penny.
Thanks again everyone. Happy hols to you all.

First stop was in Hereford at Woodgreen Farm CL. Then a few nights at River Wye Camping and Caravan Site, Symonds Yat. Finally several nights at Totteridge Farm CL near Pewsey.
A beautiful part of England.

We live jus about 20 mins from Pewsey at Netheravon and yes not a bad place to live😊glad you enjoyed it😊

FYI, cycled along towpath to Wooton Rivers and had a very nice lunch in the sun on Sunday at the Royal Oak. Recommended.

Haven’t been there in a few years but it was always nice and good grub next time you should try The French Horn at Pewsey that’s on the tow path as well and has a good menu😊

Thanks for the recommendation. We had a very chilled 3 nights (despite the storm BH Monday) at Totteridge Farm, so will definitely return....

Having the same issue on our Swift with Dometic Fridge, moho is less than a year old & the warning triangle is staying on & the alarm beeps. The control panel keeps saying there is no 12volt supply to the fridge, have had a look at all the fuses & no sign of any bad connection or blown fuse. Will try the outside panel next to see if we have a loose or detached wire. Have also noticed when we power wash the moho that water comes inside to the cabin through the fridge vents???.....is this another known issue? Not impressed with anything so far, the list is endless & customer care is shocking.

List of niggling faults so far:
Cooker glass lid hinges fell to bits.
Under oven drawer runners fell to bits.
Under oven drawer & lower door laminate finish is blown from underside.
Ignition key stuck in barrel, RAC called out as couldn't get hold of Fiat Assist. RAC guy hadn't a clue until I mentioned it could be temporarily fixed if he removed the column cowlings & lifted the plastic lever to allow removal of the key, quick fix is working for now. Thanks MoHoFun, sure it was on here I found this fix.
Water ingress at main cabin door.
Water ingress at Garage door.
Water ingress through fridge vents.
TV bracket keeps falling to bits.
Main cabin door wouldn't latch but could lock it, ended up trying the key in the lock & it started latching again, fingers crossed it's been okay for the last 3 weeks.

Is this the norm folks with moho ownership??

Not surprised you have water ingress problems if you use a power washer!

I don't know the details of your electrics system, but I'd be looking for a fuse, maybe 20A, near the starter battery. Or a small interface unit like an EM40 or EM50 maybe somewhere near the leisure battery or the distribution box. What make/model is your distribution box?

If you ever visit any moho dealer you can watch them using the same equipment to wash their vehicles, the seals should be up to the job & I have used a normal garden hose which makes no difference.
From Day 1 the door seals have leaked as it rained all the way home from pickup so I'd say it's a problem.

I've looked at all the fuses under the seat in lounge area, when fuses are removed a red light comes on beside each fuse holder & it goes out when fuse is replaced. There's a diagram showing what the fuses are for & all would appear intact, thanks.

The fridge works ok on gas, on 12v when vehicle is started/driving & on EHU, it just won't work on 12v leisure, not sure why.......maybe it's not meant to??

You are correct, the fridge is not meant to work on 12v from the leisure battery, it would run the battery down very quickly if it did. The 12v is only for when the engine is running, when it is powered through the alternator. There is a12v feed from the leisure battery to the fridge but that is just for the controls and lights.

If you use a pressure washer around the fridge vents or any seams and joints on the van be very careful it will cause damage and cause water ingress🤔as for water through fridge vents to interior that should not happen as back of fridge should be sealed to prevent fumes from burner entering living area? If your van is less than year old take it back to dealer under warranty😊

In addition to all those, there should be a main power wire to that box from both the leisure battery and the starter battery. Each of those wires will have a fuse at the end near the battery, probably 30 or 50A. The one near the starter battery can get corroded and is worth checking if you have problems.

However as Potty says, the fridge usually only works from 12V when the engine is running, so everything seems to be OK.
