Anyone had problems dealing with Mirrorguard recently? Bought a pair from them in August but were sent 2 drivers side ones. Paul at Mirror guard firstly said this was impossible but then agreed to send a passenger side one by tracked post. We returned the dud item by tracked post and have proof of delivery. Since then radio silence and he won’t answer calls or emails.

I completed Mirrorguard’s on line query several months ago but this was never answered.
Emailed them 2 or 3 weeks ago with same query but no reply.

Shan’t be bothering again - if this is their customer service before purchase I wouldn’t put any money on their customer service after purchase.

Quite a bit of discussion about Mirror Gurards falling off.
I knocked one of mine off cleaning the 'van a couple of years ago. The stickytape was absolutely rotten after a couple of years. Checked the other one and it cam off in my hands. Tape almost none existant.
Removed the tape and replaced with 3M VHB and two years later so far so good.
Also, I the original tape is so thin, with the wresting the guard on in the first place, one would be lucky it's actually got some area to stick to.

I think this would be a great product if the tape were upgraded.
Agreed genuine 3M VHB is a marvellous product

When I visited him he had a nice Csthargo Motorhome and had just returned from a long trip. Maybe he is away a lot. Not the ideal way to run a business but he might not be.replying because he's touring.

I'm really happy with our Mirror Guards. My husband picked them up a couple of years ago at Lincoln Show. They've already saved one of our mirrors, when a large truck hit one of them with a lot of force. The mirror guard suffered a tiny black mark. I understand the people travel a lot and do shows, when they don't always reply to queries and orders, but I am getting a little concerned about what might happen if we do ever need a replacement

Not recent, but I swore I’d never deal with them again after problems some years ago. Ordered a single replacement guard, to replace one which had broken in a (relatively low speed, slow enough to think it shouldn't have) collision, and made it clear that it had to arrive by a specific date, as we were going away again. No problem, he said.

It never arrived, so after a number of follow-up calls, I rang to cancel and left clear instruction not to send it. A replacement did arrive after we had left home (& bought a perfectly adequate replacement from VanComfort en route.). When we got back I tried to ring but never any reply (I probably should have used a different phone number!). I ended up doing a chargeback via the bank.

I don’t think he’s very efficient, but it was the broken promises that got me. Sounds like a pattern!
I had exactly the same problem I think it is a one man business He is impossible to get hold of.You leave messages and he doesn't reply. If on the off chance you get hold of him he promises he will send out but doesn't.This has been going on since August.Just got a charge back from my bank.He doesn't deserve to be in business. His Name by the way is Paul Sydenham .Does anyone know of decent alternatives .Not Millenco.

There's no excuse, I'm a one man business but if I advertise mirror protectors I have them in stock to go within 24hrs. I currently have both black and white and long and short arm Ducato models in stock.

I ordered Mirror Guards when on holiday in the South of France earlier this year. Thinking there would be a long delay, I ordered them 10 days before I was due home.
They arrived 2 days after ordering, fortunately my daughter was home. Maybe I just got lucky.

I will take a look at those. I had the Milenco ones and contact with a branch saw the left one fly off like it had an ejector seat charge was fitted and the mirror was destroyed. I replaced both mirrors with the short arm type to reduce the width a little. They still extend outside the width of the Elddis box....

Bought the Mirror Guard ones and they were as people have said a bugger to fit. When I sold the van I couldn't get them off to put on the new Ducato. The glue on the sticky strips must have been improved!

So now looking for an alternative...

Comes in 3 types, how do you tell whether you have the short, medium or long armed ducato mirrors when you only have the one to compare. Think mine are short, but...
