Just a long shot guys. I've just had to buy a new computer and I have an old printer that works well but I've lost the driver disc. I was hoping that someone might have a disc that I could borrow and return . The printer is a Canon pixma mp540. Unfortunately Canon no longer support this printer so I can't get one from them. So perhaps a last resort finger's crossed.

Thanks for that. When I did a search on the Canon Web site it said they no longer offer support for this printer.

Not an answer to your post but I may well be in your predicament shortly. Compared to the cost of a new computer printers are dirt cheap. It's the ink that costs as we all know. I have nursed my printer on but it's 10 years old! When it fails it's replacement will be far superior for half my current one's original cost! I will just choose one with the cheapest ink replacement.

Although Canon don’t support officially you may find the Windows 10 driver will work on W11. Certainly worth a try.

Thanks guys all sorted, the forum has paid for itself once again. I get my inks from inkredible. I like this printer because it has separate inks so cheaper to replace individual colours.
