i am just saying what they wrote in their magazine. The prices increased fairly substantially around covid and they cited the increased utility costs. They then later published an article saying about exploring charging so people who self generated or didn’t use utilities saw a benefit. I don’t see the issue with charging for electric but the whole premise of doing it originally was to reduce costs…. Not just maintain and charge extra.
I don’t have any issue paying abroad either but their sites are usually more realistically priced - CAMC sites are typically double the price of a French site and you usually get a pool and sunshine there in with the price!!

I can't understand why, if pitches are now fully serviced, they need a toilet block at all. Almost all CAMC sites are over-priced anyway. I'd overnight in the car park next door if I was in Totnes.

They do. I received an email before going to Wyatts covert with a link to the costs and an explanation of how to use the meter. It was dead easy, I don’t know what all the fuss is about. Here is some of the information provided.

It is also notable that the kW used per pitch per night has dropped to less than 10kW compared to over 18kW at a comparable site for the same period. It just goes to show how wasteful people are if they don’t think they are paying for it.

same as my friend that owns a camp site full of static caravans (all owners occupied). He installed water meters and seen the water bill to the water company drop by half, and water collecting butts spring up all over the camp
