likewise proper crockery, stainless steel pans + 3 tier steamer and proper pottery oven dish for cooking meat/shepards pie etc and a pottery casserole dish, 1 stainless steel oven dish for roast potatoes and a pizza cooking tray, a proper wok and griddle (not the lightweight ones)

pots n pans

Seems odd to us that when people go away in their motorhome they use plastic glasses, melamine plates and camping type pots and pans.
We wouldn`t use them at home so why use them in our mobile home.
We have a full sized fridge freezer, 4 burner cooker with oven so why should we eat differently.
We often go out for the day and come back to the aroma of the casserole cooking away in the slow cooker, we even bake our own bread.

We love our food and look forward to relaxing with a drink and eating dinner at the end of the day. :thumb:

Thanks John,

must admit, proper crockery, mugs and glasses for me, weight is not an option, only need one glass ... large  just wasn't sure about the cooking side.

Cheers

I find that large glasses don't weigh that much more than small ones, hold more than small ones so don't require filling as often, take the same amount of washing up as small ones and if they stack don't use any more space. :Eeek:

Why do they make small glasses?

We use melamine and plastic because weight is an issue and they don't break when we are in the more remote arera's.

Same reason for us - plus we had some of them already from tent camping days

Oh Graham, tents and 2 motorhomes and you still have the same dishes and glasses, go on spoil yourself buy some nice new glass tumblers and wine glasses and those lovely china plates with the pretty patterns you so like.:thumb:

What bottle would you grab?

I know this should maybe be a new thread, but was just wondering what "bottle" would you grab to take away in the van for the weekend?
(Wine, whisky, beer?) Just one though and now that we have all the glasses on board anyway............:thumb:

I would take a bottle of Amarula plus some ice, with me, not sure about my OH,would need to let him decide:BigGrin:
