No way, tried that but you have to reduce their numbers otherwise you just get more and more which is hard enough to control when you do dispatch them permanently.Yes get a humane trap instead of killing the poor buggers.
Does that not affect the predators that can eat them like owls and foxes? We have used traps but now have poison packs permanently out in our attic, good quality poison not the crappy cheap stuff, and they ensure we have very little trouble with them.
Had one in the attic inthe old terrace house .I complely agree sounded like the cast ove riverdance were up there but out of sync.Just to add if you think mice are a problem in your attic then just hope you never get rats in there and in the cavity walls ... Elephants with clogs on doing a marathon dance session doesn't come close to the noise they make!
Nah, we tend to find the bodies eventually so they seem just stay in the attic which is 'home' to them, bit like us when we're not well, they likely prefer to be in familiar surroundings.Does that not affect the predators that can eat them like owls and foxes?

Tried that. Found a dead mouse in it a day later.Yes get a humane trap instead of killing the poor buggers.
Yes, I agree it made me feel sick.Perhaps a warning in the title wouldn’t go amiss. Not everyone wants to see photos of dead animals, regardless of whether you class them as vermin or not.
Thanks
From what I understand ,transferring live wild animals for release elsewhere is not recommended, and in many cases illegal. There is no way I could kill a mouse. I use humane traps and can honestly say we haven't had mice for years now. Just used to catch them, have a word in their ear about moving on to the nice field two miles away and escort them there free of charge of course. I once took two mice on a nice car journey to a much better place, Carsington Water
I had no idea about that. I did know that I could not release mice onto a housing estate, but I usually just released them onto my own fields. I did turn them around a few times in the traps so they got dizzy and forgot their way back to my house though, before I get complaints just kidding folksFrom what I understand ,transferring live wild animals for release elsewhere is not recommended, and in many cases illegal.
Mike.
Not allowed to release a grey squirrel if you catch one you must kill it.From what I understand ,transferring live wild animals for release elsewhere is not recommended, and in many cases illegal.

They loved it, they sent me a postcard to thank me for giving them a better lifeA long way to go to drown them, a bucket of water would have done it.
