been left on someone's access for 4 weeks.... anybody got a clue? (It is Taxed and MoT apparently) Police and Local Authority not interested.

Sorry you have got me with that one, don't understand a word, are you agreeing with me or not
I think so but I'm not completely sure.
I didn't and don't want to pick sides,
I just wanted to 'speak' up is support of my Irish friends who'd be upset by any implication that an Irish accent and unlawful 'van transporting go hand in hand.
And I seem to remember something in the rules about being nice to each other..

I perfectly understand what you have written, but i am not clear what you are suggesting by stating it!

Are you suggesting that all the 5,000 views of this thread "except you" are in some way complicit in prejudice.
No, just indicating why I wanted to comment.

If you check the post your complaining about it did have an emoji on the end with a wink. Indicating it was posted with a humerous intent. I am sure the majority of readers saw it for what it was, a joke. But it would seem that some don't see the humour in anything and invoke the woke attitude. My sympathies.

Wasn't complaining, just pointing out an alternative viewpoint

That is quite a sad tale.

I recall my wife had recently attended a first aid course, as she was walking along the pavement in the City of London there was a guy slumped across from the driver to the passenger side, she thought he may have passed out and her recently acquired First Aid may be helpful, so as she knocked on the door, the guy sat up and she realised at that moment he was reading a map that was spread on the passenger seat and on to the door well.....no first aid required but you never know.
Across the road from where I worked in preston was one of those small road sweepers, it had been there a while, we thought it had broken down, then police and ambulance turned up, apparently the fan in the road sweeper had disintegrated and one piece had gone through the bulkhead and killed the driver instantly.

Ooops that’s terrible 😢 it also reminds me of the recent Bad Sisters and the Leonard Cohen song Who by fire 🔥 we all die at some point just how remains to be seen.

Who by water
Who in the sunshine
Who in the nighttime
Who by high ordeal
Who by common trial
Who in your merry, merry month of May
Who by very slow decay
And who shall I say is calling?

And who in her lonely slip
Who by barbiturate
Who in these realms of love
Who by something blunt
And who by avalanche
Who by powder
Who for his greed
Who for his hunger
And who shall I say is calling?

And who by brave assent
Who by accident
Who in solitude
Who in this mirror
Who by his lady's command
Who by his own hand
Who in mortal chains
Who in power
And who shall I say is calling?

Was still there yesterday when I passed, maybe there is a strong whiff of petrol someone noticed which would be an issue as right by the A27!

It won't be a petrol motor though will it?

Sadly missed, never got to see him perform live. An absolute master of the perfect word timed to the perfect note.

Remember the incident all too well, I had a friend who was in Environmental Services and it was one of his staff killed

Sane here, we planned to see him, we left it to a friend to book tickets which they said they wanted to do and failed which was a shame.

A rather inappropriate comment would you not think.

It was actually a tongue in cheek comment but how many times have we had posts about someone with an Irish accent trying to steal motorhomes?
So no. Not inappropriate.
God forbid we say a scouser has put it there.

My lord.

hurtful to (in this example) the Irish person and all other Irish peopde so prejudicial to harmonious relatnonships.
Not really true though, how can one person, speak or assume for all the Irish.
That in itself is stereo typing assuming we /they are all the same, when in fact some do actually have a sense of humour, sadly lacking in lots of people nowadays.

I'm part Irish and my family wouldn't be hurt about this in the slightest, as we crack on with our day slagging English off.
Top of the morning to ya...potatooo

Leonard Cohen songs (with some exceptions) are dripping with angst and gloom. Very depressing.

I'm half Irish and it didn't even occur to me to be partly offended 😂
