In our local supermarket carpark which has a 3 hour limit, this van has been there since at least Sunday. Hope the owner is OK.

Check tax, insurance and mot online. See if it’s sorn. If it’s sorn could be stolen and owner doesn’t know, eg from storage?

Is it taxed and mot'd? There was a Honda Civic abandoned in our local 'big' Sainsburys, no tax or mot, and was there for a month to 6 weeks before it was over on. Others have suggested knocking on the door and or speaking to the management. A friend of a friend of ours popped his clogs in Spain whilst leading a solo life in his motorhome and was there for several days before he was found . . . .

Definitely worth knocking and then speaking to customer services with your concerns. It's not being nosey, just worried.

When Martin was in hospital in Edinburgh I parked the van in a supermarket carpark, with the manager's authorisation, from 8.30 am to 13.30pm and used the coffee shop for breakfast and lunch plus bought the makings for dinner in store. The rest of the time I was in the hospital carpark with authorisation from the facilities manager.

Anyone going past the store everyday might have thought the van abandoned as it was always parked in the same space.
