Positive. (nothing negative please)

Today is the last day of travel restrictions in France, and campsites and restaurants can reopen from tomorrow. The sun is out and it's hot.

Our mega travel plans for this spring/summer involving three expensive restaurants and ten countries have been shot to pieces by you-know-what. Sorry about that little bit of negativity, but... we are currently packing the van as we have decided to bugger off on Thursday towards Brittany, Normandy and who-knows-where in France. No idea at all when we'll come home. Carpe diem!
+1 heading out to tour France tomorrow when travel restrictions ease further and sites start opening up. We've been in the same place for about 10 weeks so, lovely as it is here, it will be nice to go further afield. Hopefully we can arrange a mini meet with Yodeli 👍

Only five more working days till a weeks leave for both my wife and I!

Should have been off for a week back before Easter and away now in the MH but as NHS workers Covid-19 cancelled leave and we have been mostly working six days since the start of the Level 4 alert.

Biggest positives for the van is all the things are done that were planned for the summer;-
Fitted 4g router and roof antenna.
Fitted inverter and Battery Master.
Fitted extra shelves and lights in cupboards.
Garage storage, hooks, straps and racks all sorted.

Cannot wait till at least day trips next week!

:giggle:
Booked Van in for first major service since I have owned her going leaving it there Wednesday pm so that I can cycle home (no lifts at present) which is scarey I am hoping to live long enough to get home.
I am also optimistic that my lovely lady mechanic will not find any hidden horrors. As always I had a estimated price for the work in my head and their estimate (subject to no horrors) was a little less than mine. Then as she will be MOT fit I am going to take advantage of the relaxation to move the MOT date to a more convenient date.
All looking good to me :giggle:
Solar panels next...

For our 50th Wedding Anniversary year we saved up and decided we would visit a different country every month.

The good news?

That was last year. We actually managed fourteen. :giggle:

If it had been this year it would have been disastrous.

That's retirement without a doubt. After all, if you decide to do nothing one day, the pension still comes in. My idea of retirement is not sitting around vegitating until the day comes when I am not capable of anything else.

If I'm being positive: then we have lost no one in circle of family and friends, even FIL is in good health and we are going see our daughter in London on Wednesday. The sun is shining and we have the first social event since lockdown booked for Friday. Oh and I have a loaf in the oven as well.

This is strange for me, because I'm a pessimist. A pessimist is always receiving good news whereas an optimist is always being disappointed :winky:

:party:Congratulations:party2:
