We are with Nationwide and they don't support SEPA payments which I guess is a form of international direct debit. So we opened a Starling account and the set up the tag without problems.Just tried to order Fulli but will not accept my English bank details then throws you off the page.

Thanks billym, that’s just the information I was needing, the mrs went and registered on the easy toll website yesterday when we were in town, easy enough to do on her mobile, she might as well cancel it now, we didn’t hear the tag bleep so as Ed Pirates said maybe we just hadn’t passed under a gantry. That's just a pull in for foreign vehicles to register if they haven't already done so online or by toll tag .
Sorry that should say junction 17, but hopefully all good now.I missed the lane with the electronic toll tag symbol after coming over the bridge, should I have gone through this to for my Fulli tag to have activated before carrying on to the junction I left ie junction 18?
Fragle I thought exactly the same, as I didn’t see the first sign as per pic on post 9 the first thing I did see was these bays to my right,So just seen the Photo and to me that is a ridiculous way to do tolls and just leaves it open for them to send out a lot of fines.
Is that for foreign vehicles only?
Did you only have to go through that because you didn't activate your tag?
We went through a green lane by mistake and although we had registered for the normal lane we were charged for the full length of the motorway even though we had only travelled a bit and were also finedI’m waiting for a fine from Portugal from last November when we had registered but went through a Green lane that I think was a different toll system! Who knows!
Well I hope we don’t get a nasty shock! 4 months so far & nothing ! Hope I haven’t jinxed it now!We went through a green lane by mistake and although we had registered for the normal lane we were charged for the full length of the motorway even though we had only travelled a bit and were also fined

Just in case it helps anyone …We are with Nationwide and they don't support SEPA payments which I guess is a form of international direct debit. So we opened a Starling account and the set up the tag without problems.
i have just had 2 from oct23 the first is £102. and 2 weeks later £33.60. i had registered my van and a debit card. but they never took any money from my account, hey hoI’m waiting for a fine from Portugal from last November when we had registered but went through a Green lane that I think was a different toll system! Who knows!
Hi Freo, Yes that is exactly what I did too. I should have mentioned it in my post.Just in case it helps anyone …
I had an existing UK Starling GBP account. When I tried to set up my new Fulli account, the test payment failed because the IBAN was unrecognised.
Easily fixed by opening a linked Starling Euro account and transferring some money across to it. The Euro account’s IBAN was accepted by Fulli no problem.
I have since used the Fulli tag in France and Spain and all went well.
Open a Revolut bank account online. This is an accepted method of payment. I then check that I transfer adequate funds to pay upcoming Fulli invoices.Just tried to order Fulli but will not accept my English bank details then throws you off the page.

I've spent many holidays on the algarve, and often visit relations just over the border in Spain so I know this part of the road very well. Do not get a tag or anything like that, that will be picked up by toll booths. If you don't have a tag, do not pull into the layby that says foreign vehicles, just drive straight past, you won't get a fine, the only time you'll be fined is if you have pulled in and registered your vehicle. So after reading all about tolls in Portugal and having a Fulli, I think I’ve just made a stupid school boy error, came over the border from Spain thinking there would be booths across the full road, anyhow I was overtaking a HGV and watched as he peeled off right into said toll booth looking area, as we were heading to Tavira we literally pulled off the road a couple of kms down the road. To avoid a fine I can register the vehicle today, so will it have picked my short section up to pay?
Do I then have to remove my Fulli so I don’t get double charged after I’ve registered the vehicles number plate for further journeys?
Mines 4T just done Spain and Portugal. Tags cover up to 6T I used emovis make sure it's in the centre of your windscreen for Portugal. I had mine to the passenger side which picked up in Spain but not Portugal until I re-sited it after running through the tolls in Portugal getting an orange light. Emovis links your vehicle to an individual and a bank account where you pay by DD. Due to being registered it picked up where my tag failed once I re-sited it.Don't use tolls as sat nav is set to slow mode and I have all the time in the world. So what is the point of reading up about tolls and sorting out a tag for prepayment of a toll etc etc? Then having to worry about paying and removing tag
Interested as we are hopefully heading to Portugal on 28th of this month We are 4t and didn't think we would be covered with a tag?
Been there and done that.......unfortunately.I’m waiting for a fine from Portugal from last November when we had registered but went through a Green lane that I think was a different toll system! Who knows!
Ditto, but several months later. We did last year, we had a letter through the post from a UK company 2months later with a picture of us going through the toll and a fine
I'm sure you will from a company known as EPC PLC UK, collecting on behalf of the Portuguese authorities. The admin charges that the robbing bar stewards applied, were more than the fine.Well I hope we don’t get a nasty shock! 4 months so far & nothing ! Hope I haven’t jinxed it now!
When I lived in Portugal I was told the same thing if you don't register you will not get a fine and 10 years later it still worksI've spent many holidays on the algarve, and often visit relations just over the border in Spain so I know this part of the road very well. Do not get a tag or anything like that, that will be picked up by toll booths. We have a bip and drive tag issued by emovis Uk . Same with them it covers both Spain and Portugal but does seem to take a couple of weeks to show up on the account .If you have a Fulli tag and it is working you do not need to register. Eventually (poss 3/4 weeks) it will pop up on the Fulli app.
RedI'm having difficulty understanding, do you want more information on using a tag, or do you not need to use one?
Cheers
Red.
It accepted my bank when I registered with Mango but when I used it in France they contacted me by email saying my bank had refused it and I paid online by credit card. I don’t know why they will not accept credit cards.Just tried to order Fulli but will not accept my English bank details then throws you off the page.

Thanks, Fragle cleared it up last Week in post #18Red
Misunderstanding about tag. Fragil doesn't use tag as sat nav is set up for slow. There's no point in reading about setting payment for tolls etc, but he's going on trip on 28th but he doesn't think he's covered with tag.
Luckily, he doesn't use a tag and sat nav is set up for slow.
Hope this helps??????????
Yes all sorted.
Either works fine. If you do convert do it on weekdays as there’s no charge.Yes all sorted.
Awaiting Revolut card and Fulli tag. hopefully before we leave.
A question on the revolut card is do you have to transfer to euro to use the card in Europe or does it just bill you? and you pay then.

British and Non EU should register at the Booth in the centre on entering Portugal. To the right is for EU and residents. Thank you, we have registered via the website, although I have a Fulli tag so will use the T lane and see what happensBritish and Non EU should register at the Booth in the centre on entering Portugal. To the right is for EU and residents.
The A125 to Tavira is not Toll. The A22 is Toll but no booths. It is by overhead camera registered as you drive, and you pay-in Post Offices in a period of time (don’t have the period to hand). Other Motorways may be different as privately owned but usuall all Toll
Now I’m really confused. We have the Fulli tag so didn’t think we had to register. Are there in fact 3 sorts of roads? Non toll, Toll and some sort of special road that has a Toll that’s only payable via the website?Thank you, we have registered via the website, although I have a Fulli tag so will use the T lane and see what happens
