Poor Fridge Performance

Just checked ours again, I have decided it is simply that it can’t cope with high ambient temps.

As soon as the internal temperature goes down to about 23 degrees, fridge is back to normal. Any hotter and it rises inside.

I didn’t help with pitching wonky.

All seems fine now it’s raining and cooler. 🥶
That’s really interesting. Do you have fan assist at the top external vent? 🤔

bigtwin any update? Did you manage to solve this ?

My fridge is also the same as yours

Freezer cools down but fridge is approx 15 degrees inside 😔

As I said earlier, first try tightening the 6 or 7 screws holding the fins on, if that does not work, take them out, remove fins and renew mastic as described earlier.

Yes, I did. I think that perhaps I was expecting too much wrt the ambient temperatures. Since the ambient has dropped, it’s cooling fine.

The heat transfer appears to be working as there is ice forming on the fins so the contact must be reasonably good.

That’s a symptom of ineffective heat transfer to/from the fridge fins. Looks like you need to renew the thermal paste behind the fridge fins. 👍
