Plug hole trivial survey (3 Viewers)

Good Evening!

My trivial question today relates to your plug holes….

What if anything do you pour down them, and how frequently?

We have three, shower, wash basin and kitchen sink. Do you have a routine, or as and when you think it necessary?

Do you men even get involved in this kind of thing?

I’d be interested in everybody’s behaviour on this serious hygiene issue!

Just the usual washing up / shaving / toothbrush / shower water, or do you mean to clean the waste pipes ?

Nothing. Bar the dish water and shower water. Never had to clean them as no food waste etc goes down my drains .

I let a dishwasher tab dissolve in the kitchen sink now and again…

Sink water goes down the sink, washing (self) & teeth down the wash basin and shower down the shower drain. When clean the fresh tank, some of that goes via taps into waste tank. About once a year use a dose of tank cleaner (Fenwicks at present) down each drain.

I shove the hose down each drain when I fancy it. Force some power through it.

There is another...

To keep the grey water tank clear of any gunge and decaying detritus how about scraping the plates into the toilet cassette?

Coffee grounds can really block up the sink and make a mess of the grey water tank so send down the toilet?

We just preclean plates and pans etc with a paper wipe prior to going into the washing bowl and a strainer in the plug hole that catches any bits and pieces.

Yes .. you can also train them to mop the floor

Thanks for the reply’s, more specifically the shower has an odour conning up from the plug hole. Maybe some kind of liquid can be poured down occasionally, just wondering if this was a common practice?
