Just a thought, maybe you’ve already done this - are there any studies on canal boat living? You could maybe extrapolate from them in some areas? Always difficult when you chose an unusual topic to find supporting literature! Good luck!

That's one possible thing I might draw comparisons to. In infrastructure for boaters Vs van lifers. Perhaps.

Hoping to find interesting trends in the replies and go from there.

There is one very interesting trend developing already.

Are they relevent to the topic and how "out of date"?

It's a struggle to find academic research papers on the subject.

Not on a particular subject... It's best practice in research!

Dull as anything but nessesary I guess.

I gave up after getting footnotes wrong for the umpteenth time!!!

I think you may have to go on some Facebook groups etc! I do think there must be more than 50 full timers on here though! Could you put it on another thread with a slightly different title? I know most people on here are helpful, but they perhaps haven’t seen this thread, or don’t realise how important it is to you!

Ah, not so good. I’m sure we have more than 50 fulltimers or ex-fulltimers on here. Come on Funsters - it’s not a difficult questionnaire and doesn’t take long to complete.

My name is Jack. I have lived in my off grid, self converted, Peugeot Boxer van for some time while studying, having previously using my van for holidays. My experience of living in my van, meeting others doing the same, and my experiences on van life websites inspired me to conduct research into how and why people live Van Life for part of my Masters Degree in Environmental Health.

If you live full time or semi full time I would love for you to tell me about your experiences by filling out this short questionnaire, which will take around 15 minutes. It will ask questions about your van, where you stay, and where you lived before vanlife.

Participation is totally voluntary and you can withdraw yourself and have your data destroyed by editing the form to remove consent. For further assistance email me on the address provided, before 6th July 2022. Participation is also anonymous. I will not know who has given me the answers. All of this is explained on a Participant Information Sheet provided before the questionnaire.
