We have always wanted to visit Cromer in Norfolk but never have. This year, we hope, will be the time we do.
I can’t walk very far at all so would like somewhere with a bus stop very near.
Apparently the coast line is lovely and so is Cromer crab!!!
Can anyone recommend a place to stay please?

We're off to Forest Park Overstrand today for a few days, really nice site and just a mile or so from Cromer.

Or another nice site, bit further from Cromer you could try:-

Pete

"Will's Plaice" is a good chippy just up road in East Runton.

Indeed it is and the tartare sauce is especially delicious, we stayed at incleboro fields CAMC West Runton last year (fancied a change from Seacroft) and have booked again for this year.

We used this one, not cheap but it is walkable, I did it.

I'll second Seacroft and a service pitch if you can get one. Apart from the bus stops outside the clifftop car park is virtually opposite the entrance and we walked into Cromer through the field in a gentle 20 minutes. I managed with a gammy leg but maybe a bit far for you. Bus also drops you into the center of Sheringham the other way.

We have just got back from a couple of days at Seacroft , judging by the amount of motorhomes we saw travelling in the opposite direction the North Norfolk coast will be chock a block with them this weekend . Traffic on the A148 and A149 was horrendous with long queues at every roundabout .

Yes if you’re running to or from lynn docks on a Friday afternoon it absolutely slaughters you.

Having eaten there, I cannot recommend No. 1 Cromer, Galton Blackiston’s fish and chip shop on the front in Cromer.

Further away is Fakenham Racecourse which has full facilities, including a golf course, squash court and restaurant/bar; you can visit the Kinnerton chocolate outlet shop in town - they make stuff for lots of shops. If you walk back at night, you will see lots of muntjac deer!

The CCC site at West Runton has a long, narrow and pot holed access path difficult to negotiate with wide vans. There is no WiFi as the site is at the bottom of a bowl. Try the CCC Sandringham site.

Sandy gulls in Mundesley is a nice adult only site with a bus stop right outside but its a 15 minute walk into the village so that might be too far for you but its on top of the cliffs over looking the sea but you will needs levelling ramps

Sandy gulls at Mundlesey bus stop to cromer 100yards away cliff top direct beach access

Have been to Seacroft a few times. Good access to the bus into Cromer, lots of space, decent restaurant/bar. should satisfy your requirements Cruisers. Only downside (like a lot of sites these days) is the price in high season. Good luck with your search.

If you go at the right time the CCC temporary holiday site at the High School in Cromer is fab. School playing field with toilet and shower access easy walk down into Cromer
Bus stop outside if needed. Totally fab and last time we used it only £10 p.n. Highly recommended and the End of the Pier Show always well worth it.

Plus one for seacroft , and the on-site restaurant was a pleasant surprise ( 2019 ) Very nice scampi and chips.

Antonia Villa CL £12

Northrepps Road, Northrepps, Cromer, Norfolk, NR27 0JS

Seacroft CAMC is a couple of stops away from the centre of Cromer and has a bus stop opposite the site entrance.
We have just returned from CMC Incleboro Fields. Access is a narrow lane, and until 1300hrs it is the outward track and after 1300 hrs it is the inward track, it seemed to work OK. The site is very hilly. It has 241 pitches with only 8 hard standing pitches, and the rest are very uneven and very heavily used and muddy, it has little or no phone reception, the MoHo service point is a manhole in the road which you drive over and then scrabble under the van to lift the cover off, if you have your grey water discharge on the passenger side you have to turn round and drive against the traffic flow so as to get on the discharge point. The CCC site is down a very narrow and bumpy road, we did not use it but took our car up there for a look. Cromer and Sheringham are well worth a visit, The seafood stall at Sheringham market was very good. And the Two Lifeboats Pub.

We didn’t have any problems getting a phone signal last year at Incleboro.

Love the Sandringham site Caravan and Motorhome Club site - but stayed there recently and the wifi was totally useless. Everyone around was having the same issue and staff said it was a long term issue and the main reason for complaint at the site.

So great place to stay but if Wifi is an essential stay elsewhere…

Forgot to mention if you go to Sandy gulls take as tv aerial extension as the way I have her got reception is to plug in to aerial socket on the leccy post and the Wi-Fi is non existent they charge to use theirs or used to a couple of years ago

We’re on the Seacroft Caravan & Motorhome Club site at the moment. Decent site, 1 mile to Cromer town centre, bus stops just outside.
