Pitches

what's even worse is that the t*ssers who do it, NEVER have the manners to stamp it back down again or try and repair the damage they've just done, they just drive off. Stuff it, that's what the Warden / Owner / manager is for.
Oh for a Stinger !

We watched an english couple ruin at least three pitches at a campsite in France, and the appeared completely oblivious to the damage and trouble that they had caused. Just sat there reving their engines, causing more damage, and then sat inside whilst the site owner trying to recover them. They didn’t even have/know about recovery eye, so I let mine and helped Mr French get them out.

Only time I have caught the grass is when a ‘helpful’ warden was trying to tell me how to get on the pitch. I know the turning circle and how to position it to get onto the majority of pitches. Wasn’t where he wanted the van either so I drove of pitch and totally ignoring him parked right on the peg and yes was reversing. Friends have also splayed pitches at their site, they try to get John out the van for a chat while I park up :ROFLMAO:

And as we speak, some guy turns up. Too rude to bother with knocking on the door, parks himself up where he enjoyed his stay with us last August. Yes in January, with 7 hardstandings to choose from he just drove straight across the field. He's presently looking for another site for the weekend, and if he was ten years younger he'd be nursing a thick ear too :swear::swear:

The diagonals to prevent that would have had to have been HUGE!!!! :p

Another vote here for very big rocks....😁....placed strategically of course.
