My Pa has been in hospital just over a week and I'm very sorry to say that things have taken a turn for the worse and being as there's only me I'm not comfortable being away at this time.

Debs - so sorry to read this. We would all be sorry to hear this about your Pa at any time, but for it to happen now after all your hard work is doubly cruel. I'm so sorry that you won't be spending the weekend relaxing with so many of your friends. You will be very much in our thoughts over the weekend.

Don't worry David - we can dispatch Jane in the wheelchair. Three hooks on the back & they can support a lot of gin bottles if you send her off with some sturdy bags. She regularly returns up our hill with more shopping than the able bodied could ever manage.

Is Rob putting a fiddle in the van? So long as it won't split in the heat! What with Geraldine cliffandger , Steve and Denise, Rob & me, that sounds like a quorum for a bit of an acoustic session at some point. The low whistle playing is gradually improving!

Looking at weather forecast we are planning a day trip to Whitby by train on Friday

Not looked at times as yet but anybody else thinking of Friday to go, presuming anybody is of course ??

We normally don’t do very early but also guess the trains may not either so possibly first train out ?

Now handing over to those far more organised to confirm times, prices and numbers ?

See you tomorrow in time for 6 o’clock Chinese but only just or probably just too late as we do ?

Just a quick update folks.

My Pa has been in hospital just over a week and I'm very sorry to say that things have taken a turn for the worse and being as there's only me I'm not confortable being away at this time.

After losing mum, husband & brother in law I know that I need to be able to live with myself afterwards, happy that I've done what I could.

I'm so sorry to let everyone down & I hope that you all have a great time in this fab weather in that lovely little town.
