Phone Keyboard issues on Fun.

Recently I've got problems with the keyboard on my phone. I know other members also have the same issue & am hoping someone More knowledgeable like Jim or Gromett May know the answer.
The problem is that when typing a message, the backspace & return keys close the keyboard. Also using the space bar after someone's forum name deletes the name. The problem only appears on Fun in Chrome, it seams to affect both Android & iPhone. Uninstalling Chrome updates resolved the problem but when chrome updates it returns. It doesn't happen elsewhere on chrome, only on Fun, Is this a conflict between chrome & fun?

I had to install a new keyboard app a few weeks ago, no idea if it was to do with MHfun ?

We can do nothing about this, It is a Chrome Bug. Affecting millions of sites not just Fun. You can track the reporting/fix progress here.

I'm on Chrome on Android phone and it doesn't happen on here.
Not aware of any updates though.

The problem I have with my keyboard is, it appears to have Tourette’s and it keeps typing things that get me into trouble

Look for SwiftKey keyboard in the app store or play store. The predictive text is very good and you can have arrow keys to move the cursor about

I had this and download Google's keyboard,seems ok and fixed the problem

I dumped chrome even on the lap top. more troble than it was worth. i get the sameproblem on phone so will use firefox on that now.

Went through the browser wars years ago but now tend to stick to what's in the OS. Although on a PC I'd have Chrome installed. Some sites work better in other browsers so you need a choice

Anyway, back on topic, on my iPad with Safari I often curse when posting on MHF as the "enter" button for adding a new line, also removes the last entered text
It happens on forums using the similar hosted platform iirc.

Hmm. Years ago I used to use a none apple browser on iOS but that was when Safari was feature limited - like missing multi tab support or some other must have feature, but Safari caught up.
One day I may load up a 2nd browser app for iOS use

Yep I went with the std Google Keyboard, all good so far.

Looked at gboard but not happy that it retains all data including credit card numbers etc.
