Hi Funsters

First time I have ever brought the timing tool kit to undertake a replacement! Have changed a few belts on cars/vans previously without issues.

I think I may have cocked up by using the wrong hole on the flywheel to lock the crank shaft. The hole used goes into fresh air! I did double up and used a flywheel holding tool.

However after not being happy last night, I refreshed this morning and took the starter motor off to get a clearer view. This is when I noticed that there are two holes (couldn’t see/feel the right one) even when looking with inspection tool.

Nothing moved whilst I did the belt change and white marks I made lined up ok, until I rotated the belt 4 times. Now I can see the flywheel locking hole and I’m not aligned camshaft to flywheel.

No engine has been started, anyone know how to reset the timing from fresh as it the engine had just been rebuilt?
