When we were there in August temps mid to high thirtys...thirty three at ten in the evening :)

Wow too hot for me especially if it doesn't cool at night

Thinking of moving round to the west side tomorrow for a night or 2. Somewhere I could still get boat to Malcesine would be good any recommendations ? Proberly head Como next slowly heading home.

west side full of tight tunnels best wear to pair of knickers...have seen trucks stuck in them (tunnels not knickers):censored:

better staying on east side and getting fast ferries over to look around the west towns. a few campsites around Malcesine Tonini nice but very hilly! nice chicken restaurant up hill behind it. can get cable car to top and views over all the lake....

Have you looked around Salo? there is a free Aire in town (no facilities) This the area we stay in every year, at camping Fornella (cheaper sites nearby)

So its safe driving to salo on 572 ? Think if so I'll head that way.

Now a nice Como lakeside stop be nice any ideas ?

main roads to Salo fine..tunnels start a fair way above. Not sure if its finished in Salo this time of year but Thursday night fantastic..with loads of bands playing outside all the restaurants, bars etc....really good night out and walking distance from free Aire
