Can you still park in the ferry lanes once the evening arrival has cleared. Have done it long time ago and the days of leaving home at silly o’clock are long gone, we will be travelling up from Plymouth May 14 th

Yes, you can still park there. Pull up close in front of the big blue building that will be facing you as you enter the check in area. There may be a charge of £15, I think, if the cafe owner arrives and finds you still there. However, if you are up early enough and move the van across to one of the check in lanes that's not an issue.

Bakers Arms is a lovely pub with good food too better than the ferry lanes.
