Park runs

Nice to see this thread again, since I last posted on here I've actually done a few park runs. I had a new Hip in May and done 5 park runs since, very slow I may add but its nice to be out running again.

Yup. Started this summer at Reigate with the Mrs when I need to watch my blood sugar levels.
Greatly reduces the alcohol I have on a Friday night
Increases the amount of exercise I take as it's become addictive
Gets me out of bed an hour earlier on a Saturday
Gets us doing something new and competitive together

PB 25min 20sec but a lot slower recently due to the mud!

Really love to see the positive effect it has on everyone

I refer honourable members to my previous answer. :xwink:

We did Barry Island in beautiful sunshine. Is anyone doing a New Year’s Day double?

Poole parkrun ....1243 runners, not including the funnel duckers :xangry:. Record attendance, so many runners that we had 2 finish funnels and it took me over 3 minutes to get to the finish as the queue was so long. But no one cared, it was a beautiful day and times weren’t important.

I did my first Boxing Day run today … from Parc Ferme back to the truck to get my mate's scrutineering card. I think that is my quota for the year.

Soon be Matterley time .
