Be careful Robert you have a big van now, loads of entries in P4N have been made by Camper vans. We have been caught out loads of times, CC is more reliable.
Yeah i have been caught out a few times with p4n .... sometimes the person taking the photo is an idiot. Othertimes people have put places on thats just downright stupid ...like hospital carparks etc

But theres usually other spots nearby .

Robert Clark and anyone else who might be interested, I have been toying with this app off the playstore, don't seem to have a lot of sites at present but a lot of info on the ones they have got, it's free have a go and see what you think.

Looking on the website it’s in french only
Do they speak English too?
The guy who runs it was a Fun member & he has posted in English on Fun.

I’ve given the app a review and feedback on the app store

If you send him an email ,he will get back to you, he is very obligeing.

it makes sense to give the developer an e-mail…. They are the only ones who can do something about it, no point in moaning to all on here….🤷🏼‍♂️

I'm certain the guy from P4N was a member.
Think he is actually Dutch and think his name is Frederick, and yes he is a member on here.
I don't think he posts much on here as he got tired of a certain person constantly going on about the camping and caravan act 1960 and not being allowed to park in carparks etc.

Perhaps it refers to the number of pointless questions a pointless number can generate……or it could be part of a Swiss bank account number held by a nefarious gang of sun seeking MH members who talk in code to each other via the app, paid or free….. or it could refer to the inside leg measurement of the site owner….. (I feel a movement, a splinter group of subversive pranksters swelling within our midst)

enjoy you day

Search for sites is the same. Each Aire has a number but if you put that into the search bar, no result. Very silly miss of a useful resource

How many of these similar apps uses numbers to search apart from camper contact?
I have had a look at a few and can't find one, most don't even have a number.

Just think I should give this app another plug, it's made for trucks but we use it all the time, it lists lay-bys ,truck stops , cafes , filling stations and all manner of places, it's called truckfly and can be downloaded from any app thing, I have said this before but think it's worth another mention, below is a screenshot shot of a very small bit of France, and it's free.

Don’t know. I’ve only tried park 4 night, CC and search 4 sites. And the only one I/we like is s4s. I don’t see the point in issuing each place a number but that having no user use. It would be ideal to be both sat looking at sites, planing a route and then be able to say to the wife “look at 346855, what do you think of that for tonights stop“ or to just pick the number off a screen shot, or recommendation.

Did previously use ACSI, but painful and poor.

I just got all excited looked like it showed Paddleboard spots then I realised they were baguettes.

It really is good for finding Les routiers, and truck cafes and ordinary cafes that have the meal of the day at reasonable prices, and you can also park up on a lot of the truckstops.

<Broken link removed>

Replace 222118 with your number....

I used a number when people have been doing a blog of their trip and they referenced their stay with a number.
I typed it in and it brought up the site
I found it very useful for this reason.
I think it was “Mousey” who did it

I think it’s the department number

ie Lot & Garonne is 47 so anything in that department starts with 47**. So 47100.

Just a bit of advice, if you are serious, don't go for the paid one, no advantage and it's overloaded with stuff you don't need, I paid last year but gone back to the free one now.
I thought that a lot of the entries are greyed out on the map if you don't subscribe?

No you have to be a member and log in but don't have to pay.
Once you log in the grey goes.

There is no way way of knowing the number till you have already found it so why would you want to search for it again.
I have found that when finding a site for the future it's sometimes hard to locate again, I save reference numbers which makes finding later easier.
