wife and I went to this same weekend last year only we stayed for an extended two or three weeks, it was great. Like Bob says the market on the wednesday is a must see as is the Martyrs village. The meal in the village and the fireworks were excellent in fact the whole stay was.
Its such a central site to tour round that part of France, we went all over the place with our little car. The Charant and Dordoigne areas are only an hour or so drive as is the beautiful old town of Brantome. Then you have Limoges itself, we took the motorised tourist train around the city to see the sites rather than try and struggle with the wifes invalid scooter.
If anybodys into Trout or course fishing there are some excellent
lakes nearby that are very reasonable. Bob will point you in the right direction if you ask him.
We will definately be visiting again, but not this year, have fun everybody, can thoroughly recommend it.

BRYAN There's

Fish:thumb::Eeek:
In France too!!!!!

Geo. The Trout fishing is superb and very cheap.

I know at least two funsters who will be talking to Bob:thumb:
do I feel a french fishing match brewing:yeah:
Geo

Ask Bob to put you in touch with the English guy in the village who gives fly fishing lessons. He'll tell you where he took me. Its only a few euros for a six or eight bag limit. Not big trout but make a lovely meal on the Barby. Theres also a course fishing lake on the same site with big carp and tench etc.

Hi John

Really sorry to hear this - it would have done you the world of good. Never mind, I'll remove your name off the list for now and if you change your mind let me know and I'll add it back on.

Pammy

It's just the Jeep gave me an unexpected hammering receently and the toad needed another £300 spent on it.

Now I have the buses brakes to do:Doh:

Hoping to do all the UK rallies but would have loved the one in the warmth of France though.

wow that's a lovely bit of kit.

Can't wait. Bill Pm me and let me know what Ferry you have booked.

Although of course I still have the Nik Nik, i have also bought a Tom tom with all the aires fully loaded thanks to the help of others.

You must use the toll Road HB.

Any idea of the cost each way on toll fees?

Too much and unnecessary, we went the N road route last year and saved a packet and saw a lot more of the local scenery. So what if it takes a little longer.

The same weekend at Parc Verger last year.
