Overwintering in Morocco.

hi bambi. i had tx from gary with the man.truck. roy and anne as well .was told malc and wendy are there . not sure on the other one . i thought kevin might be there now ,,i sent him some parts to taghazoute so hope he gets them. i told themit was 5 dh before . i was told they were paying 20 . i wouldnt pay if i was there . hee hee .i think its harder in the favourite places ,was like it last year. we moved about a bit .
far easier in land . but then you miss the sea. have fun regards to ken.

Was on the beach yesterday and the price has gone up! it's [HI]25dirhams[/HI] now, just 4 Brit vans there, but a group including Kevin is on it's way. bambi 2

Just under £2 not bad, wish I was there pi$$ing down here and blowing a gale.

hi, my tx says 20dh to stay ,5dh todump your waste ,2dh to fill with water. but ther really isnt ny proper facilities water tanker in the day .hole to tip toilet . but better than nothing . the campsite itself was cleared a few years ago.i,m told they dont see the guardian at night .
they are making a new road up to the plateau up the mountain so ever one is hoping to move up there soon if they can.
life is so hard for them .ha ha .
sunny at moment in cornwall. rained earlier . but the ground was drying . been no rain for two days till this morning whoopee. think what they are missing with all that sun.

You 2 fellas have a great trip, look after each other, stay safe and rest often, you are making some more fantastic memories. Looking forward to enjoying following you on your blog.

Mitch and Jenny.

We're thinking of going to Morocco for the first time in a couple of weeks, just waiting for Nigel and Pam to turn up here and then get some info from them, we're going with new funsters, Bee.

Here's a bit of an update. We managed to get down to the Spanish border for NewYears eve and parked up at an old restaurant I have been a patron at for more years than I like to remember. We have been off camping since leaving home and are now awaiting the Algecirus/Tangier ferry in the morning. The return ferry cost is 180 euros for an open return this year. Here are a few photos of the New Year celebrations which unfortunately went on into the afternoon of New years day. I have to report that RR is still alive and bearing up to the way of life quite well.

Another update....Just managed to get a Moroccan dongle so will be posting more frequently now. It was a bit expensive at £15 for 1 months use but hay ho. We got the ferry with no problems and had a short drive down to Asilah where we parked just outside the Medina in the harbour. We had a couple of days rest there and then took the old coast road down to Sidi-Bou-Beker where we parked up on the beach for a couple of days. Then on down to Essauira parking just outside the Medina on the promenade. Had a great time in the Medina were RR was fitted for his Moroccan gear. Had a few other stops on beaches down to Taghazoute were we parked on the old campsite beach for 2 nights before being politely moved on. We are now in Agadir having tow-bars made and fitted at the ridiculously expensive price of £45 each. Ah well prices have gone up since I was here last. Even the diesel has gone up to 54p a litre.
We will be staying here for a few weeks getting work done on the vans and helping the Moroccan economy a little. Will try to post photos later. Bye from Agadir and 30 deg C.

A few pics to keep you interested. Oh and up to now we have managed to stay clear of campsites and toll roads.

Hi Al, The old campsite in Taga was open again for about a month before they shut it down yesterday. Complaints from the new campsite owner. The beach in banana village has quite a few campers on it including us for one night. We are now in the centre of Agadir wilding whilst we get jobs done on the vans. No problems wilding as yet. When we have had all the work done we will be heading back to the beach. Your neigbour left last week acording to Jock.

Just cought sight of RR running down the street in his underwear to catch the phone shop for a dongle now he knows I have one. Not a prety sight. HaHa.
He should be on any minute.
