Overnight near Dover port

We’re going via Dover In early September as we can’t get on the Hull ferry on the date we want, we haven’t sailed from Dover for about 10 years. We plan to travel down on the Wednesday night so need somewhere to stay near the port, anyone got any recommendations?
We catch the 10am ferry so need to be within 1 hour of port.

Look at app JustPark: sources available spaces and prices - bookable. I am looking at overnighting near Chunnel for early start at Sainsbury car park, Folkestone...for silly money! Folkestone not too far from Dover.

We used the P&R and would recommend it.

We usually do, but being cautious to avoid trip from P&R in what may be frosty early morning in January. Sainsbury close to M20 access to Eurotunnel.
