So East Lothian council have announced that 3 locations will trial motorhomes for overnight stay at £10 per night.
Car parks in North Berwick, Dirleton and Dunbar to be used each having 4 bays with No services.
Now here’s the catc. Overnight stay can only be between 10pm and 6am 🙄

...that's daft!

You would think. Maybe it’s just a clerical error but I doubt it. 😀

Does it possibly mean £10/night from 2200 to 0600....
Before 2200 and after 0600 the daily parking charges apply...
Yep sounds like another "loony tunes" council cock up😂😂

Right doing some digging on the website and https://www.eastlothian.gov.uk/news..._motor_homes_to_be_available_at_two_locations only mentions 2 car parks not 3 so assume there is an error there re north berwick.
Also, the council currently bans all vehicles from overnight parking from 10pm to 6am and weirdly the charging doesnt seem to start until 8am? so I'd assume 6am to 8am is free? After 8am it's currently £2.50 for all day.

So, I'd assume the 10-6 only is paying for the usually banned overnighting and they've just been crap at how they are explaining it.

The North Berwick site is actually Yellowcraig just as you enter North Berwick from Edinburgh side. Previously able to overnight there but they banned it recently.
Listed on search for sites.

Ahhh, I've always used the rugby club for North Berwick as it's free and closer to the town, also on searchforsites.

I read recently that this is actually council owned and something might happen there as well.

That'd be a damn shame if they mess with that, never any trouble, great spot, near town.
