I know it’s been talked about but can’t find on here any suggestions for overnight around Folkestone as a early train in the morning thanks in advance for any info

There's a super secure site at Sangatt now with a 10ft steel fence and electric gates ----- but it is 10€ per nightTunnel crossings are cheaper after 4pm and it’s quite easy to find overnight stops in France.
With the migrants close to the channel I think Sangatte is risky now. We have used Cite Europe and Sangatte for several years but coming back last week we kept well away. Even with our alarm and flashing blue lights there is a danger of screwdriver attack on locker doors on U.K. vans. Could end up with a big bill to repair afterwards.
There is no security at Sangatte, not even a barrier, unless things have changed dramatically in the last seven weeks.
Richard.
That sounds like the aire in Calais itself not Sangatte. There's a super secure site at Sangatt now with a 10ft steel fence and electric gates ----- but it is 10€ per night
To be honest we were not sure where we ended up that first night in the dark-- but it was the super secure Aire. That sounds like the aire in Calais itself not Sangatte.
Nothing listed like that in Sangatte that I can find.
Richard.
Sangatte Aire is next to the Cemetery so dead quiet at night apart from the hum of the Tunnel vents ;-)To be honest we were not sure where we ended up that first night in the dark-- but it was the super secure Aire.
We are looking for a large Aire nearby the cemetery today - that could be Sangatte?

Fon it Yeah and it is the Hubert LathamThat is Sangatte.
It's a large parking area split up into fenced off sections with height barriers.
The first section, beside the cemetery, doesn’t have the height barrier and is marked out for motorhomes.
If you are longer than about 6.5m you will want to go on the left side so you can reverse with the overhang over a dip. The RHS has fences so not so much depth.
Watch out for migrants.
Richard.
