Over night parking

Hi all

Just some information to let know that Hartlepool marina has opened up to over night parking. the cost is £8.00 for 24 hours unfortunately no EH or waste dumps but at least its a start. I would advise mid week if you do visit as weekends can be extremely busy and noisy due to night life. The historic Quay is just round the corner which is worth a visit and shops are close by.

I've just been prompted to Google Hartlepool. It looks a lovely old town. Take it back Simon Meadwell :punch: Is there some rivalry between Hartlepool and Stockport, I wonder. I haven't been to either so I couldn't possibly have an opinion. 🙃

The way the band played that night was the best I had heard. Mike played his heart out. I believe the pub had it's best take ever.
 
They film a lot of Vera here and don’t forget the canoe man. It’s like everywhere it has good and bad points

Hi There,

Im at Staithes tonight (sadly unable to take Renee down there, and the walk for my dodgy knee is a NoNo), but on my way to Hartlepool, in the morning, and it stated in 2022 forum, that there is Quay parking for 24 hrs, does this mean, I am allowed to sleep in my MH? some Parks, say 25hrs, like in Whitby today, but had to move, as it stated NO MH 11pm to 7pm Grrrrrr, so could someone out in this ethra, let me know if you are allowed to sleep in the Quay please?. If not then ill go back to my PArk4Nite, which works well for an Off Gridder like myself. Well 4 days, then 5th day onto a site, to do the usual wastes ,and water, and use my airfryer to cook up a storm for the next 4 days ! hah

Thanks guys, you are all so great here, especially that Tombolla, my Knight in Shining Armour ! haha
 
does that Tick, mean a YES to staying over on the Quay please?

I've been to both as family in each place.

I was at school in "old" Hartlepool.

The Historic Quay is worth a visit.

Not sure what I can say about Stockport. The Hat Museum was shut when I wanted to visit. My enduring memory is a couple of idiots in cars with no number plates racing each other through the centre. How they didn't kill someone I have no idea.

We were in Whitby last year and parked up near the Abbey, a couple of dozen vans there, free overnight, 6pm til 8am i think. The ticket we had from down in the town the previous day gave us another hour in the morning.

Your dig about Stockport wont bother me pal i hate the place i just made a tongue in cheek reply regards Hartlepool.

Well, Guys,

BINGO!!! Not only am I here in Hartlepool, The Quay where there is a PUB next door to the MAritime Museum IS FREE ~PARKING!!! Checked in with the Pub, about food,or a drink, and the guy behind the bar said, I am NOT worried, just use the carpark, as you want, for one or two days, we don't mind !

Result or what ?, travelled to Saltburn, and parking at the seaside was £10, for 24 hrs, but NO overnighters ! Council owned, where as here the pub owns the land, so no ticket snoops out today or tonight either !

So like a Law abiding, conscientious motorhome, my rubbish has been put in the large bin at the pub,and my water is in the tank, so I am a really happy bunny indeed !

Hi guy!

Leaky loo in base of unit. Thetford cassette fed from main tank.
Sadly im in Scotland, doing NC500 ,at Brora sand ,n heading for helsmdale.

Ive tucked copious amount of kitchen roll on each journey,n irs saturated with water when i stop.

Ive been in road 1o days n its the first time its happened.
Not a moho service centre in sight n NO TOMBOLA LOOKALIKES AROUND EITHER! HAHA

Help??

Turning your pump off while travelling may minimise the quantity. Can't help with a fix though. Sorry. :(

Yeah circuit board is alwsys turned off.
Cant understand why cassette area has water, ckeaned up, firmly shoved the cassete back n bugger me, still oozing wzter frOm BASE!
 
Do you have a crack in the cassette plastic. I vaguely remember that being a few cases over the years. More likely to be the solenoid are that area. This video may help.

Hi there
So very kind of u to answer my querie!
Human error! I had not put the cassete in tight enuf, so the flush wzter wzs escaping everywhere except the casseette.

So i stopped on route, as i wzs on my 5th kithen roll, n was very worried. Went iutside into the cassette compartment n it eas swimming in water!!!

So it took me 30 minutes to ckean everythjng, disinfect inside. Rammed cassette in ,this time, drove 20 mls with yet more kitchen roll around base, n guess what ??? Paper was dry!

Silly me,ill be less delicate in shoving the cassette in next time! Mmmmm

Glad it was a cheap fix.

You have to channel your inner masculinity and shove it harder next time. lol
