although there are plenty of options to park ‘off site’ there aren’t that many sites to pick from which we like to alternate between

Agreed, the infrastructure for motorhomes is poor considering the amount that come over, easy fix as well if the council pulled their finger out but I'm afraid we have Lewis time up here and everything take 3 times as long.

We are heading to Ullapool for Stornoway tomorrow. Then heading to Cliff beach to park up for a few days. Hope the weather is due to improve !!

what you in, we will probably be driving by with the horse trailer at the weekend, we go on Reef with them, weather is getting warmer after Wednesday I think

Wasn't easy and long slog, everything took so long and we learnt lots on the way, took 2 years but best thing we did, it probably would have been easier to buy a ready built house. I recommend it, you wouldn't regret it.

Slight alteration to plans. Have come straight down to Huisinis for a few days first. But will be coming back to Cliff beach before we go back home. If the weather is fine we will probably put the pop up awning up as that is what the boss likes when we are at Cliff Beach.

They have put big rocks next to the stoney parking area so you can no longer park on the grass, also blocked off the grassy area on the sea side of the road as you drive in, there is enough room on the car park for 3 or 4 vans and a grass area on the right as you drive in, enough again for about 3 vans, they would be pretty tight though, always a couple of vans there though as the surfers go there all year round...if that makes sense

At Cliff Beach do you mean that you can still park on the grass area to the right of the turning area at the end of the road. That’s where we normally park.
We have a Rapido 743 which has the smiley Fun sticker on the passenger side. We are on the hook up pitches at Huisinis. They have certainly put their prices up for this year. £20 with EHU, then walk down the hill to get a shower!!!
£20 to park overnight with no EHU at the Gateway area.
