Hi John,
Glad you could come.
Look at the bottom of the page after you have clicked Forums and you will see the meets and you can then see who is coming:thumb:
 
ho samm,
just got to get the fridge emptied of all the crap from this weekend (food/milk ect) so i can get the beers in the fridge or shall i just fill the onboard water tank with beer.:thumb::thumb: looks a long walk to the pub.:Eeek:
i can always get uht milk and longlife bread for the cupboard.:Rofl1:

can't remember who offered us the shhhh.... (leccy split) but please make sue you have space near you to squeeze us in, as we do not have a pitch, but are allowed on

promise we don't snore and are only 20 foot long

Hi,

I have just read a report on the Caravan Channel Forum on the Bosworth site. They say the site Toilets are immaculate although they seem to close them for cleaning at odd hours. As the site is geared to the boating fraternity apparently it can be a little bit noisy until the early morning hours plus a bit smoky as they can light fires around the park which can smoke others out. These people were a little bit upset with people trailing through their Pitches with Water Sport equipment all weekend.
Here's hoping we can at least out number the others and have a good weekend.

I'm getting seriously p****d off now 'cos we can't go to the meet!!!
We've got a family "do" in Cornwall at the weekend.
Then we're off to the "foreign" at the end of October so out of the meets loop for a while. :Laughing:
HOWEVER!! Is anyone else going to Europe for the winter? Don't know exactly where we're going yet except the target is Portugal for Christmas.
SO - if anyone else is heading the same way as us PLEASE keep in touch - it would be great to meet up with Motorhome Funsters while we're away! :Rofl1:

The only places I know we are heading for are:-
Honfleur ( late October / early November)
Camping Courte Valle in Airvault ( early November)
Parc Verger near Limoges ( mid November ish)
A France Passion Cognac Producer near Tesson south of Saintes to stock up on Evasion ( a cognac / red wine bubbly that is to die for!!

After that it's where the wind takes us!!

Have a great time next weekend and have a slurp of the ribena for us! :shout:

And can I just say thanks for yours and Rex's help at the York show, you giving out flyers whilst Rex helped us erect the gazebo in the POURING rain, all the while having a laugh and FUN. Then you stayed for hours and never did the smile leave you. Great fun, I had a ball.

got a real problem now as there are no electric pitchs left and no gennies allowed so i might not make it. cant last 3 days on battery alone. really struggled at york for 3 days with genny. battery not charging properly.
got to ring thursday to see if anyone has cancelled an hookup pitch if so i'll be there.

john im sure some1 will be good enough to let you charge up for a couple of hours for a couple of quid if you do run out..you could just borrow a hook up.....your all not that mean are you.....:Rofl1:

I didn't know they had a moretorium on generators mate???? Are you sure they just don't allow the use of them between certain hours like 22:00 and 09:00?
I am sure that we can arrange a temporary hook up to charge your batteries mate, that is not difficult at all :Smile: and for sure we will not charge you (well not cash anyway :))

Hi John we have got leccy splitters, so I am sure you will be OK if you need a top up. And anyway, beer in the dark tastes just the same :BigGrin::BigGrin:

We can plug you in, no problem..... We have enough power to supply the site (almost) so you will be just fine :Laughing: If Geo's heater doesn't keep you toasty warm then we also have one that you can borrow, it will be like a blast furnace in your TT :Rofl1:

thanks guys,
problem is the non lekky pitches are away from the hookups but going for it anyway.
got to ring on thursday to check cancellations for hookup. no bookings taken on wednesdays. they do have reserved pitches so thats a possibility.
the lady i spoke to said they were having to hire an industrial genny to supply all the site for the weekend, so why i cant use my little put-put is anyones guess? its possible she did mean certain hours!
anyway no-one said i cant run my engine for an hour to topup my battery, runs cool enough if the weather aint too hot !
as a last resort i'll off-site and drive round for a while then come back on.
i checked battery performance before york as i'v had probs but it ran my TV for 6 hours on invertor and was still going strong when i turned TV off???? yet onsite around 3 hours with a couple of lights and tv is around the limit.
now got a amporor stab power supply for TV so i'll see what happens now.
anyway, enough waffling .i'll get booked on thurs and post final outcome.
