I know the A39 is narrow in places, but really, is that the A39 ?
An 'A' road, a major trunk route, one level down from a motorway

Ahh a dual Carriageway.......
When my youngest was about 6, she asked if we were going to see Grandma on the golden road....The what?, The golden road...her older sister said 'She means the jewel carriageway'
Still makes me chuckle.

A side road off the A road according to a local rag that presumably employs people who actually do a little research....

Posted directly underneath the picture of the rear end of this, it says;

"Posting the dramatic pitures to social media, Avon and Somerset Police said: "#SCIan has spent 2 days with Team 3 @ASPWestSom using his local knowledge to assist with a successful arrest of a wanted person, arresting a second person for breaching their sex offender conditions, taking statements from an affray & finally attending an RTC #couldyou"."

Odd.

Just seen a distressing video reel on my Spanish mh facebook page showing a Brit mh get absolutely smashed after they went through a low bridge. (In the UK)
The mh is a total write off and the lady in the vehicle is totally distressed.

I dont know how to link the video here but perhaps best not to.

The report does say “ narrow lane OFF the A39”

Probably momentary lack of attention, distraction and front wheel has grabbed the hedge bank, climbed and then flipped over.
The original post had a link to Somerset Live which stated
A campervan flipped onto its side following a crash on an A-road in Somerset. The single-vehicle crash involved a motorhome on the A39 near Porlock.
The post later, with a link to the Somerset County Gazette was more specific.

More than toes wet now!
Could be wrong (well for those who know me, I will be wrong) but at a guess I think he/she may have been heading to here https://www.burrowhayes.co.uk/index.htm but, from memory, I don't recognise the road so he/she may have got lost.

Maybe took the turning off before the one for the site?

Don't recognise the lane but it's definitely not the A39 itself which is 2 lane white lined.
Going over on a single track lane takes some doing. I can only think they were going too fast, ran up a bank & flipped.

Shouldn't be going so fast that you can't read the signage. :ROFLMAO:

I went specialy to take a photo for you so you could read the sign. (y)

Hey Upp, you did not take that photo looking from a RHD driver's seat which would have that big branch on the right obscuring the sign.

While you were there why did you not cut the branch? ;)
