The public image of the motorhomer is that we are all grey haired pensioners, is this right? I would be interested in knowing the ages of the membership. Its an anonymous poll so your blushes will be spared  Please do vote

Hi who voted 91.> 100 have they a licence:Laughing:

ill send a card:BigGrin:

I'm a bit concerned about reaching 60! What happens then to reduce the numbers so drastically?????????? never mind though obviously get a second wind at 90!!!!!!!

For the most part I'm afraid so, you do meet the occasional family but not often..

The young tend to have vdubs or converted tranny vans, get married, have a family, become tuggers for 10 - 15 years then progress onto a m/h .. such is life !

But does this give an indication of the age of motorhomers or of the age of internet / forum users? A lot of "older" people still don't use computers although that's becoming a much less true statement

Thought this may cheer up you old wrinklies

The good book says we are granted 3 score years and 10-------------70 years
divided by 10 = 7
there are 7 days in a week therefore each 10 years is represented one day

Nope, definitely Sunday................

Geo, you'd better watch out at the meet or you'll get got! :Rofl1:

Looks like 80% of members here bought a motorhome before they were 60, now that has got to go against the public/Jeremy Clarkson perception, that most of us wait until we are 65 before we buy a motorhome.

Ralph,

I started 7 years ago when I was 67 and the only reason I got started was my grand children got fed up with me asking the to look info up for me.

It has given me a new lease on life, I'm not very mobile and the computer has opened up a whole new world for me.:thumb:

It's been a very steep learning curve . I'm thinking of getting my 97 year old mother started so we can chat on Skype:Rofl1:
It's a lot easier now we have the lap top, coping with a Turkish key board was a night mare.:Eeek:

Don,

I saw the picture of you at the York Show and I don't believe you. You don't look a day over 60 :Wink::Wink:

Well, he was stood still then, he wasn't doing over 60

I was still 55 when we bought ours in June last year. As for grey, I ain't got none - just the odd refined touch of silver

re Old, see the sig below

I am in the 22% of 40's people.

I am however, extremely grey-haired. Both hair and beard.

I am now confused! Does this make me an honourary over 65er?

Should I be worried?

well it shows the ages but not the type of vans which was the question in the other thread

Oh bums! (will I get banned?). Just saw the date of the original post, which was 6 years ago. I wasn't in this age group then and I wasn't grey because I dyed my hair. TBH, we only got a MH once I stopped work since we never had time to go away in one before then.

I wonder if the percentage has changed any since the survey in 2007, I think there would me more younger motorhome owners.

Likewise, until your post I hadn't noticed the date. So, I was 51 when we got our first m/home and I am 65 now. So, all you statisticians, make of that what you want.

Aah... the joy of early retirement. I've just got my first at a mere 48 years young and fully intend to run the wheels off it. As far as i'm comcerned I bought it to use it!!
