Rally Chat Old Bush Blues Festival 2019

It's in a field opposite the boozer I believe. There is a separate post code listed somewhere, but sods law I can't find it.

It's the 5 mins walk that puzzles me. There are half a dozen proper pitch next to the pub then a field where I guess some tents will be. The only thing that looked possible is a tennis court with building that is probably changing rooms next to it the other side of the village.

It's the village sports field...

It is quite tight, but not quite as tight as the photos show:

The walk is up Bow Street, then along to the pub... footpath all the way.

The CL behind the pub and the adjacent field are on quite a slope - your levellers would need levellers.

The field is used for day ticket car parking & some staff/acts camping.
The grey bit above the star is the car park but taken over by a large marquee for one stage.
The 2nd stage marquee is in the garden where the umbrellas are.

There's a small convenience store a minute or so walk away from the camping field, and a 2nd pub [the Bluebell https://thebluebell-callowend.co.uk/ ] a couple of hundred yards further on.

Not long now (y)

A little housekeeping question. Does anyone know if we have access to a dump point or somewhere to empty toilet cassettes over the duration of the weekend (Thursday to Monday)?

Yes there will be they couldn’t run such an event without. However we always turn up with water and empty cassette.

To dump black waste the organisers have in the past opened up one of the sewage inspection points. It's located at the rear of the shower/toilet block. No difficulty for emptying cassettess.

Too quiet on here... is anyone enjoying themselves yet  ...
I am, not the rain, but music & ale.

Hopefully that's the last of the rain, should be livelier today.

That's a PITA, someone has stuffed some rubbish down the elsan & blocked it :banghead:...
Some poor bloke is there with his rods trying to unclog it ... there are some idiots about.

All now resolved. The chap did suggest using the disabled toilet (if available) as it is easier to flush afterwards.

Jackie and I had a great time at the Old Bush Blues Festival. Thank you to all the Funsters who made us feel very welcome. We hope to catch up again some day on our next trip to UK and Europe which should be around May next year.

We will definitely do this one again. Nice crowd, lovely friendly atmosphere, top rate bands, and prices that didn't make your eyes water.

Hopefully not but there is talk of next year being the last one.

Did anyone see/enjoy a quirky band called The Achievers? My friend Aron is the drummer and he, along with his band mates are superb musicians but no way would I describe their music as the blues!

Yes we saw them they were good but the PA was playing up and the guitarist/singer couldn't be heard until about their fourth song. Must admit that they didn't come across as 'blues' to me either, but nonetheless very good.
