We've just collected our newish Carthago M Liner and this (Photo attached) was in the cabinet with the glass doors.
Apparently the dealer (Southdown) have never seen one before!
Does any one know what it is for ? before I dump it.

Definitely a 'bespoke' plate rack made by a previous owner I should think.
 
Is the spacing such that wine bottles (full ones!) fit between the pillars and therefore don't rattle?

We had something similar in the Hobby when we bought it.. Still had a couple of bottles of wine in it to.
Just stood in between the pegs and could not move.. Not being big on wine it ended up in the skip !!
 
certainly wouldn't hold enough bottles! we usually bring back at least 100 bottles from France:) and now we've got soooo much more room................
