Off to Spain !

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the further south we go the weather seems to be getting worse. The forecast is for worse to come.
Plus almost all the sites and area camper stops are full. Even some of the wild spots are rammed.
Perhaps we have just chosen the wrong year.

We had terrible weather in Feb in the Costa del Sol last year. The 2nd week was drier and a bit warmer. We’d booked to go onto Portugal. The forecast was so awful we gave up and lost our money and headed up to Benidorm . I think February can often be wet.

We’d left home on 7th Feb, did the Portsmouth Santander crossing and motored straight down as the weather was cold and wet so arrived by the 11th I think.

We've had heating on last few days in southern Spain....

Yes it's the coolest we've experienced in the last three years here in the south.

Regarding places to stop. We've been out since the first week in January and apart from 4 nights on sites/aires we've had no problem stopping for free for the rest of the time.

So far we've been to Denia, Javea, Arenals, Cartagena and Vera.

We're going at the beginning of March, I hope it's better by then I haven't decided on the route yet, I want to take the A75 but I worry about the weather through the mountains
