"off on a 3 year adventure."

Good luck fella, take your time and enjoy.
We will be setting off again in a month or so for another year ( bloody MOT is my only limiting factor!)
Maybe catch up somewhere (y)

Have a fantastic time (y) Looking forward to reading about your adventures !!!.( we are planning to have a year on the open road ,just waiting for some suitable tenants to rent our house to help fund the trip then we are off..!!..) Take care, chris & jean.

Which of the two threads is going to be the one to follow so I don't miss the fun?

I wondered that too.........
Best wishes for your travels.
If you've not already read it have a look at ourtour.co.uk Julie and Jason's talk about the wall you hit (metaphorically) after about three or four weeks of travel and how to get over it, makes interesting reading.

Have a great trip.

I'm very jealous. Because of work and my wife not wanting to leave her ponies in the expert hands of others for too long, we have never managed more than 10 consecutive nights away :( Enjoy your trip, it sounds fantastic.
Sweet dreams.

Indeed - looks like you're taking up two spaces
Who gives a toss...Not exactly if they are squeezed for room....Chill! Worst can happen is a fine.

Well we made it through the night, the only thing to report was a couple of wheel spins and shouts just before we went off to bed caused the wife to stay awake all night ...... good job she was wearing a fit bit to disprove that !

Tonight in an Aire in Arrasif there is space!

Once again Billy no mates

With the rainin Arras, we decided to head in the general direction of the Mosel.
Tonight we are at a Frenach Passion farm and intend to buy some much needed tomatos form themin the morning.

We need to find a llaundrette or use a campsite in the next few days.

Alistair, did you know that some/many French supermarkets have commercial sized launderettes in their car parks. Frequently seen them in Super U, Intermarche and sometimes in Carrefour too. These are the supermarkets we use in our area but I'm sure other brands have them too.

Thanks for that ....... !

Does anyone have any idea of where they can be found, or a link to the company operating them?

BTW, they are often located near to the fuel station at the edge of the supermarket car park but not always.

Have a great trip. I am trying to convince my wife that we need to do a yr long trip soon.

Try Super U and I believe you can stay overnight if you shop there.
Use your sat nav POI, shopping , groceries, to search for supermarkets near you.

Launderette .... I thought you only set off a day or two ago... No accidents I hope...:rolleyes:

Nice tip, but tried it out and putting

Into the search box gives better results list including supermarkets.

Today is day seven, we have enough to go two weeks at the very longest, and no accidents !

Well we're at a campsite in Luzy eastern France for a couple of days €20 per night but the washing machines and tumble dries are included free of charge! We have 12 days of washing to catch up on so that is most welcomed.

As we are stationary for three days I thought I'd see hoe the Peggy pegs and accessories work along with a first outing for the awarning

The last seven days have been free on a variety of France Passion sites, we've more than recouped the membership cost although one has asked to see the card !

Today I did Bet's roots and she cut my hair ........ two firsts and we e are still talking !!!!!

It's three weeks till we are due at the Two Lakes rally, so plenty of time, maybe head off towards Lyon next

Don't count his wheels aren't touching the ground.:ROFLMAO:

Have you done or doing the trench tour while your there Alistair, I had not realised just how close the German and Allied trenches were to each other there.
