Cheers funflair,I know that is for the ventilation but it could just be a heater and not a water heater.

Ultrastore as in stores heated water, sometimes they have electric heating as well but gas being the primary source.

It is definitely a gas water heater just 1 switch to turn on and off. A dial to set the temperature and the little led lets you know if the flame has gone out.

As said turn gas on first and remove the travel and storage cover from the flue outside. Then switch on

Ultrastore was a water heater and ultraheat a room heater fitted to thousands of vans. Very simple and reliable too

Now that it is established that you have a gas heater - somewhere unbeknown to you.

Now I suggest

Step 1 Find your owner's manual and look for where the locker is for the gas bottles, or possible an under-floor tank.

Step 2 If bottles have they got a guage for contents? Not pressure.

Step 3 Is there any gas in the tank(s)?

Step 4 Is the gas turned on?

If yes to all, then you are ready to try heating water. Do you have a manual, either the motorhome one, or a separate one for the Trumastore?

If not, remove cowl as instructions on controller face, move switch to 'ON', set dial with 40C opposite arrow.

Wait 20-30 mins. Run hot tap for 2-3 mins.

Is water warm?

If yes, your original question is redundant.

There is probably another control somewhere that lets you select 240v operation. The control you have pictured is just when you want to run it on gas.
I’ll see if I can find my notes from our previous van.
As others have said, it’s very important to remove the cowl on the outside that lets the gas fumes out.

Thank you all kindly for your help.appreciate it.i will follow your instructions

We have the truma water heater and it is gas only. So not all of them are both gas and electric.
