Not the NC 500

Been there done that- and going back from April 14th for a week at New England Bay C&MC site
Love the area.
Cheers, Dave

Now being marketed as the SW300 I believe. We toured the area last summer having had the previous year's visit curtailed by a family bereavement.

Has Scotland got a south coast? 🤔
Most of the D&G coastline from the lighthouse at the Mull of Galloway down to Gretna faces due South and the lighthouse is actually further south than Middlesbrough.
From the Mull up to Ayr is renowned for growing "sub tropical" plants due to the warming effect of the Gulf Stream !

Nice One! My family (those that still survive) have farms in Ayrshire, so we know the area well, to say you were lucky with the recent weather is an understatement, when it rains it rains up there, when its dry its blowing a hooley sometimes this time of year.
As others have mentioned it has become known as The NC 300 route which is a shame as I dont want it to become as popular as The 500 for obvious reasons.
We are envious of you being able to take 2 cats with you, they seemed to very content, wish we had a Catwith a temperament like one of those. We have recently said goodbye to our lovely Bobby that we inherited many years ago, he was never a house cat, liked living outside most of the time, could not be locked into the house at any time, but had such a lovely loving temperament, and was a stunning looker/breed like a Linx with Blue eyes.
Have Fun.

I know it as the South west coastal 300, drove it last year. Weather not too good. I had hoped to go to Maryport (Scotland) and look across to Maryport ( England), but rain stopped that 😀. Some lovely places to visit.

I believe it is. Been a couple of times now it's pretty quiet, and locals are no problem and friendly. Sorry about the family bereavement, we also had 2 of them last yr plus one of our cats.

Beautiful area my dad moved there when he retired from the police force so we spent lots of time up there from the late seventies until he died. Been back a few times since in the motorhome.

It's been marketed as the SWC300 for some years now, we did it in spring 2019

Someone else that has an A-class just so the cats have a better sun deck. 😅

Ollie just chills in the van. But Baxter likes to explore on a harness a short distance. Although often just to eat some local grass.

We are planning SW Scotland possibly end of this month to include visiting Culzean Castle just south of Ayr.
Can you recommend any nice sites and places to visit; coast or country for walking/ seeing nice places/scenery.

Head down the coast too to Mull of Galloway and visit the lighthouse at the end and Logan Botanic Gardens. Lovely part of the world. Also love Kippford and Rockcliffe area too

If you're a C&CC member there's Thomaston farm CS almost opposite the entrance to the castle. You can overnight on Ayr seafront as well for a tenner.
Yes, spotted and looked at that one already.
We are  ccc members and looks like the farm will be cheaper than ccc club site.
Didn't know about Ayr, thanks.

Was looking at Mossyard, it's east of the mull; near Cardoness castle.

While they push the 300 thing D and G area has always been better geared up for tourism than the North coast 500.
Better roads ? and places to stop etc.
There is also a Northumbria one as well https://northumberland250.com/
